We have tried so many artisinal / indie / mom-and-pop type ice cream shops, and this was the best one by a large margin. Definitely try the Bananas Foster ice cream, and then throw in something else to get a unique and tasty treat that will make your mouth and stomach happy!

Very nice staff that offers tastes and recommendations. Honestly, the flavors were interesting, but the execution was just average. Most flavors, too sweet that I tasted. Price for a scope was high considering the quality and size. I got two scoops on a sugar cone which tasted very good and stayed crunchy. I thought ice cream was good but not 5 star good.

Great ice cream shop w lots of creative flavors and options. They also have different types of cones. We were greeted and offered samples. Great service, parking in rear and side.

This place is great! We were immediately greeted and encouraged to sample as many flavors as we wanted. The shop is family forward, laid back, and approachable but the product screams quality! The taste, texture and mouth feel of the ice cream felt premium throughout the 4 flavors we got. What I love about this place is the creativity. The flavors are all different than the usual stuff, while feeling like your classic go-to. We got toasted marshmallow ice cream with oreos and graham crackers, blackberry with dark chocolate chips, bananas foster, and salted caramel brownie. The establishment was clean and well kept. The staff was very friendly. A young man named Chino helped us out and answered all of our questions in a professional and friendly way. When we asked for recommendations, he gave real answers and pointed out his favorites. I also feel like the price was great. For the quantity and quality of what you get, its way worth it. I have been waiting for another great ice cream spot to take the place of Five Pennies and I think this is it. It beats the pants off of anything else in the RVC, Lynbrook, Oceanside, East Rockaway area.
